Top/shorts: Old Navy (Similar Top), Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: Kelsi Dagger via TJ Maxx ($5 on clearance!!)
Oddly enough, I wore this outfit 3 days ago, and now we are in a freeze warning and I wore a scarf/coat/gloves yesterday. I’m so happy that it was warm enough to wear shorts and sandals for a day, even if the warm weather was just temporary. I’ve decided that many of my outfits are relatively boring, so I wanted to play with a mix of textures here to add interest. I’ve always shied away from mixing prints, but the snake-print shoes in a neutral color seemed to be a complimentary pair to the bright striped shirt. I got these shoes for $5 on clearance at TJ Maxx. Thank you TJ for feeding my obsession with wedge heels. As for the jewels, I cannot stand to wear a boatneck top without adding a big, blingy necklace, so this gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my new necklace. And by new, I mean it’s been sitting on my jewelry table for, like, 2 months while I waited for the perfect outfit to wear for its debut.
Now, I heard a little rumor that our unseasonably warm weather is supposed to return soon, so I’m off to buy a bottle of sunless tanner and plan the perfect outfit to debut my leather shorts I told you about earlier!
P.S. Please excuse my lack of makeup and the fact that one of my eyes is nearly swollen shut. Hello, allergy season!
