Trend Alert: High-Low Hem
The first time I saw this trend- on the Today show when they were discussing prom dresses- I was hooked. The high-low hem combines the dressier-ness of a maxi dressย with the comfort and breeziness of a sun dress. I tried on one of these at TJ Maxx the other day, and now I’m kicking myself for not buying it. Word of advice: If you go to a store and try on a $20 dress and you love it, buy the darn thing, because if you don’t, it will sell out and then you’ll be super mad at yourself for not buying it in the first place.

I agree! The fabric has to drape nicely or the whole looks seems off!

I’m quite a fan of the high-low hem look – especially if the fabric drapes nicely. These are all pretty cute!

Okay, deal! I will admit that I am less of a fan of this look on skirts. I think it looks best on maxi dresses, but maybe that’s just because my legs are so short that I look incredibly stumpy in below-the-knee skirts. I hope I can convert you!

I don’t know. I’m not sold on this yet. But watch me see your next post when you find another dress or skirt in this style and look fabulous, and then I’ll want it immediately. ๐Ÿ™‚
