Even though our wedding is still 3 months away, I am so excited for all the festivities- one of which is our honeymoon to beachy Mexico. Naturally, I've already started created a mental packing list of all the cute outfits I want to wear while we're at the beach. Here's a sneak peek at my proposed beach-vacation packing list:
Willemstad Necklace via Anthropologie
Chunky necklaces are an overpacker's best friend. Instead of packing my entire wardrobe, I plan to pack basic pieces of clothing with lots of accessories. Accessories like jewelry and belts generally weigh less and take up less suitcase space than clothing. This will allow me to create several different looks by accessorizing smartly, rather than lugging around an obscenely over-filled suitcase.

I just ordered this bathing suit from Everything But Water, and I love it so much that I want it in more colors!
Tinley Road Colorblock Dress
I love wearing breezy dresses in warm weather, especially because they are cool and comfortable, less restricting than stiff jeans, and they always seem dressier than shorts. I especially love.....
Maxi dresses!
Gap Striped Maxi Dress
I really love maxi dresses. I swear they make me look taller, and I am pretty sure they are flattering on every body. Even better? Most of the maxi dresses I've found/seen/purchased come in some sort of a jersey blend of materials that is fairly wrinkle-resistant. Perfect for travel!
Michael Kors Wedge Sandals
I find wedges sandals to be much chic-er than flat sandals (especially those rubber flip-flops), but more casual, comfortable and beachy than standard heels. For that reason, I plan to pack a pair or two in a neutral color that I can wear with my maxi dresses for dinner and champagne by the ocean.
Now if only I could find a way to get my hair to be super low-maintenance and frizz-free for the duration of our vacation...
