A Little Glam

{Old Navy vest, Marshalls sweater, Tory Burch flats (similar), Clinique lipstick in A Different Grape}
Last week and this week (and next week) I’m in the middle of final exams, so my days pretty much consist of waking up, studying all day, relaxing for an hour or two when Cory gets home from work, then going back to bed so I’m well-rested to do the exact same thing again tomorrow. Since I’m home all day and don’t really have any reason to leave the house, I haven’t been putting on makeup, fixing up my hair, or really even changing out of my pajamas. In other words, I look a mess.
 On Thursday, I had to run to the grocery store to pick up a few things for the late Thanksgiving dinner we were hosting on Sunday, but I was in a hurry, so I didn’t want to take a lot of time to get ready. In an attempt to make myself look less zombie-like, I added a coat of mascara, a pop of lipstick and a messy side braid. As you can see, I think I’ve finally overcome my fear of lipstick. Anyway, little details like a messy braid, a metallic sweater, and a swipe of lipstick can add a little glam to even the most casual of outfits (like a puffer vest) and brighten up your face no matter how exhausted and miserable you look/are because it’s finals time.
P.S. Have you entered the Allison Chomer giveaway yet? The prize is really cute, so you definitely don’t want to miss out!
