I brought out my faux fur vest again this weekend (much to Cory’s dismay!) to wear out to dinner for date night with the husband. Even though they’re in style right now, I still get a little embarrassed wearing the vest out in public because it’s not really a commonplace piece of clothing in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Nevertheless, I put on my game face and my faux fur vest and told myself that I was going to be super confident and rock my vest….and then we got in the car, and stray faux furs kept getting stuck in my lipstick. When I made the mistake of complaining about it, Cory responded, “That’s what happens when you wear a shirt that looks like a dead animal.” Thanks, honey.
Needless to say, I took the vest off before we went into the restaurant.
Regardless of this incident, I really love that this vest came with a leather tie belt. There’s something about a small leather accent that makes a normal piece of clothing feel a little more luxurious.
I am going to make myself wear this vest twice this week so I can get over my fear of standing out a little.
Love you, Cory! Even if you hate faux fur vests.

you look so pretty in these pictures 🙂

I’ve admired others wear the fur vests but I haven’t found one I’ve loved. I fear it may be too late 🙁

Oh gosh, I LOVE that vest. Maybe because I’m wearing my faux fur one today! When it’s this cold, we need our vests. (Cute doggie sweater in the last photo!)
