I’ve lovingly come to call these copper pants my “metallic rock star pants.” There are a little out of my comfort zone, a little too edgy/rock star for me, but when I found them at The Limited for $16.99, plus an extra 40% off, one pair left in my size (and I was returning something), I pretty much couldn’t say no. It seemed like fate. So I brought them home and they sat in my closet until this weekend when I finally decided to grab life by the horns and wear my metallic rock star pants. And you know what? I really like them.
As though wearing metallic rock star pants in small town USA isn’t uncomfortable enough the first time around, these things happened that same day:
1. Right as we started taking these pictures (in our driveway), our next door neighbor came out into his yard. So. Super. Awkward. Will taking outfit photos ever not be awkward? I think I already know the answer.
2. About 1 minute before the first picture was taken, I was walking towards Cory to change a setting on the camera, and I twisted my ankle in those mega-heels, and fell flat on my face in the driveway.
Life ain’t always glamorous, y’all.

*In case you were wondering, my ankle is fine. Cory rushed over to help me up and make sure I hadn’t broken anything. It hurt like you know what, but I was laughing so hard considering the circumstances: wearing mega-heels and metallic rock star pantsΒ in my driveway to take outfit photos for my fashion blog. (What is my life?)Β We live on a busy street- lots of cars driving by, plus neighbor in driveway….I twist my ankle and fall on face. I can’t even imagine having to explain this to a doctor if I had broken my ankle.

Thank you Dani! I found the clutch for $2 (I think) at a local thrift store, and I almost didn’t buy it…but I’m glad I did!

You look adorable! I love the collar of that shirt, and the pants look awesome on you. I also love that clutch. The embarrassment factor is why I take photos in my room a lot of the time… but I’m dying for it to get warm so I can take photos outside!

taking outfit photos is seriously so embarrassing. maybe not so much in a bigger city, but here in the midwest, i don’t think people know/get what it is and why anyone would want to do it. luckily i have a backyard i can take photos in if need be. i would never dare in the front yard!

You’re right. People here look at you like you’re crazy. Our backyard has been sooo muddy, but hopefully it will dry out soon so I can start taking pictures back there instead.
