Pink Striped Popover Tunic

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Top: J.Crew (sold out, but similar version here,  blue stripe version here and periwinkle stripe version here, all on sale!) / Jeans: Nine West Vintage America Collection via Marshalls (absolutely LOVE these jeans, and they were less than $30 / Heels: Target / Necklace: The Wooden Nickel / Bracelets: Groopdealz, Kate Spade, and my Grandmother’s watch
When I wandered into J.Crew a couple of weeks ago, I was determined to find this shirt in my size. Unfortunately, it was a really popular item, so they only had two left- one that was much too small for me and one that was two sizes larger than what I normally wear there. After a discussion with the most amazing Very Personal Stylist* (J.Crew’s lingo for their sale associates/stylists), we decided that it might work as a tunic. Boy were we right! I love it as a tunic,  and I’m thinking that if I wore it over leggings and not bulky jeans, it might even be long enough to wear without breaking my own “leggings are NOT pants” rule.
*If you live in the Akron area, you need to go to the Summit J.Crew and see Rachel- not only is she super fashionable and helpful…she also just passed the bar exam, which means she is an attorney! 🙂

Also, don’t forget to enter the Lemons & Lace giveaway! It ends tonight, so make sure you enter today to win a handmade headband of your choice from Lemons & Lace, a lovely small business based right here in Cleveland.
One last thing! Just a quick reminder that Google Reader is going away for good in a week or so. If you were using Google Reader/Google Friend Connect to follow my blog, I’d love for you to switch over to Bloglovin’ and follow me there.
Have a great day!

This is so cute on you – I’m glad you decided to try it a few sizes up. Tunic length is definitely acceptable with leggings as long as the goods are covered 😉

Super cute! I love this whole outfit, especially the metallic heels. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a full time stylist?

Thank you! Oh how wish I had a live-in stylist…preferably a hair stylist so I wouldn’t ever have to do my own hair again! Although, I also would love to just live in the J.Crew catalog 😉
