Cognac leather boot, Instyle for Nine West
It’s officially that time of year that I like to call pre-fall: I’m incredibly anxious for fall (my favorite season!), but it’s still 90 degrees outside, but I don’t care so I still wear riding boots and sweaters and just sweat to death until the weather eventually does what I want it to do.
This pre-fall, I’m really into the combination of gray and brown. There is something so simple and sophisticated about it…it makes me feel a bit French. I love the idea of a gray sweatshirt dress paired with leather boots in a rich cognac color.
I’ve also discovered a new-found love for graphic tees and envelope clutches like the Gigi New York clutch pictured below. The rich emerald color of the clutch is perfect for fall and winter. I also love it in burgundy and taupe. As for the necklace, if you haven’t checked out the Honey Rose and K website, you are seriously missing out! Meredith takes vintage findings and turns them into one-of-akind pieces of jewelry. Her “Oh Deer” antler collection was recently featured on Fab.com, but by the time I decided which piece to buy, the sale had already ended. Devastating! Now I’ve got my eye on this orange one, but I might hold out for the fall collection: the sneak peeks on the Honey Rose and K Instagram show lots of black antler pieces. Stunning!
