I recently started a new job- one that requires me to regularly dress in business casual and business professional attire. It’s been fun to go shopping and buy dressier items of clothing, but I would be lying if I said that I didn’t feel a little out of my comfort zone wearing dress pants and pencil skirts on a daily basis. I know that sounds so silly, but I’m just so used to living in jeans, I guess. Anyway, I’ve been trying to build up my work wardrobe without spending a ton of money because I am literally starting with one suit and nothing else (that fits. Oh hey, bar exam weight gain that I can’t seem to get rid of!). I’ve been stalking lots of websites for big sales and taking advantage of discounted prices at outlet stores and Marshalls/TJ Maxx. The trickiest part for me is that I haven’t really shopped for work clothing before, so I don’t know where to shop/what sizes to buy. Banana Republic is having a sale right now (up to 50% off everything), so I ordered a bunch of dress pants last night, but I’ve never really shopped there before so we’ll see how those work. If you have go-to places where you buy suiting and other work/professional clothes, I’d love to hear about them!

On another note, I really need to invest in a clothing steamer…Can you believe I ironed these before wearing them? Pathetic.
