About a month ago, we decided to take the plunge and renovate our living room and dining room. We ripped out old carpet and parquet flooring, put down new flooring (thanks for helping us decide!), repainted the walls, replaced all the baseboard and trim, and added crown molding. (And when I say “we,” I mostly mean my father-in-law, who is a home renovation genius.) Right after we started the project, Minted reached out to me and asked if I’d been interested in collaborating to show off their incredible selection of art prints and photos by independent artists/photographers from all over the country. The timing couldn’t have been better. It took me a solid week to make up my mind on which pieces to pick because I fell in love with so many of the options on the Minted site. We need more wall space so I can hang more Minted prints! A word of caution to you, though- if you decide to get a 40×30 print, order it with the frame on Minted because it is darn near impossible to find a frame that size, and having one custom-made costs a small fortune! We opted to make our own frame with the help of a kit and some spare parts purchased from a craft store (shoutout to Pat Catans– I love that place!). We still haven’t hung it up on the wall yet because that sucker is heavy, and I want to make sure it is nice and secure before we put it on the wall. Next on the list is hanging up the big mirror we had over our buffet table in the dining room, as well as getting a new dining room set that matches a bit better than our current one.
A huge thank you to Minted for helping us decorate our fresh, new space.
