Aveda Tulasara Wedding Masque c/o: This moisturizer is amazing. I’ll admit that I didn’t have super high expectations for it because I’m very picky about my moisturizers, but when I woke up the morning after my first use and my skin was soft and glowing, I was sold. The cream is very thick and a tiny bit is all I need to cover my face and neck, so I see this little bottle lasting for a long time, even with daily use.
Lipstick Queen Color-Changing Lipstick in Hello Sailor: This navy blue lipstick looks super intimidating in the tube, but when you apply it to your lips, it turns into a perfect berry hue. The color is sheer but buildable, and the formula is so moisturizing that I’ve been using this as my daytime lip balm.
Chloe and Isabel Endless Pave Necklace and Bracelet c/o: This jewelry is so nice for everyday wear. I love the simple link design and the distressed gold look, and the pave accents add just the right amount of sparkle. If you’re new to Chloe and Isabel jewelry, they offer a lifetime replacement guarantee. It obviously doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, but if a stone falls out or a clasp breaks, they’ll replace it for free or give you store credit. If you’re interested in C&I jewelry, I highly recommend shopping through my friend, Cha’. She’s very helpful and quick to respond, and -fun fact- she’s also a med student.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt and Highlight: This is, hands down, my favorite highlighting product ever. At the Nordstrom beauty event I attended last month, we all kept stealing it from one another…it seriously looks good on everyone.
Here’s a look at the best sales happening right now:

Today is the last day of the Shopbop Buy More, Save More sale, so I thought I’d share with y’all some of my favorite things that are available at Shopbop. Each of the things on this list I would gladly pay full price, but getting them on sale makes them even better!
James Perse Daily Tank: These layering tank tops are the best. I discovered them when I was in high school, and I’ve sworn by them ever since. They are formfitting and stretchy, so they don’t wrinkle or bunch up under sweaters or sheer tops. They are also extremely well-made- I just had to dispose of the first one I bought…in 2006. It lasted 10 years!
Kaanas Sandals: I bought my first pair of Kaanas sandals a few years ago during a Shopbop sale, and I have been hooked ever since. I have three pairs now, and I live in them all summer long! They take a little bit of breaking in (at least they do if you have a wide foot like me), but the become they most comfortable pair of shoes. They are very well-made, and I love the minimalist designs in neutral colors. Even better? You can feel good about wearing Kaanas shoes because they are ethically and responsibly handmade in Colombia.
White + Warren Cashmere Travel Wrap: I love my White + Warren travel wrap! It’s super soft and cozy. You can wear it as a big scarf, a shawl, or you can use it as a lightweight blanket. I wear it almost every day during winter. Also, I’m very sensitive to itchy sweaters and fabrics, but I don’t have any issues with this at all. It is just so soft and amazing- like wrapping yourself up in a cloud.
Wildfox Sweatshirts: These sweatshirt are so soft! They have a pill-y texture to them, which isn’t typically a desirable trait, but with these sweatshirts, it just works. I love these for lounging around the house or running errands.
Hunter Boots: If you’ve been wondering if Hunter rain boots are really worth the hype, the answer is YES! I have the tall Adjustable Back boot and the short Refined boot (unfortunately, sold out at Shopbop)- both in glossy black- and they are perfect for wearing during the winter when it’s snowy and slushy. They aren’t warm, so I just wear thick socks and I’m good to go. They keep my feet totally dry, which I can’t say about most snow boots (even Uggs!). A quick guide to the different types of Hunter boots: the Original Tall is just like it sounds- the original Hunter boot. The Adjustable Back is good for slightly smaller or slightly larger calves because you can adjust the boot shaft to get the perfect fit. The Huntress is Hunter’s wide-calf style. The shaft on the Huntress is a tiny bit shorter than the Original Tall. Unfortunately, the Huntress is not available at Shopbop, but I found it on sale here. The Tour boot is a “packable” version. The Tours are lightweight and can be folded or squished into your suitcase. The Refined boot has a slightly different silhouette than the Original, making it look more…refined.
This eyeshadow palette is a find from Nordstrom’s Beauty Trend Week Preview event I attended last week. Karen, our amazing makeup artist for the evening, used this palette on both Fran and me, as well as a few of the other bloggers at the event. It looked so good on everyone. (So did this holy grail product, but I can’t include it in this post because I already bought it…)
I love the idea of the Ready Smart Carry-On. The suitcases are carry-on size and basically indestructible. But the best part? They have a built-in phone charger with 2 USB ports! My phone always dies when we travel because I never put it down. With this suitcase, there’s no more having to seek out one of those crowded charger stations at the airport. The suitcase also has a “proximity notification” feature, which means you will get a message on your phone if you are leaving your bag behind. You can support their crowdfunding campaign here– early bird pricing ends in 9 days.
Practically every blogger has this jacket, and I can see why! It’s so perfect. I looked at it in store last week, and it looks even better in person. It also comes in a handful of colors. The olive green color is on sale up to 25% off here with code GOBIG17.
This Tinted Lip Oil is so fun. The packaging was designed to look like a cocktail shaker (so cute!) because you have to shake the product a few times to blend the oil and the pigment before applying. When you put it on, the oil moisturizes your lips while the pigment is a long-lasting stain. These also smell really good- each one smells like it’s name (peach, watermelon, etc.). We played with these at the Nordstrom event last week, and we all thought they were so cute. The ladies at Nordstrom told us they are also coming out with a matte version in a few months. I can’t wait to try it!
Also, my absolute favorite sweater just got marked down 40% off! I have it in both colors but I’m seriously contemplating buying duplicates because I love them so much and I’m so afraid of something happening to them!
Last week, I made a trip to Nordstrom to attend a blogger event and scope out the new arrivals for spring. Here’s a look and at what I took into the fitting room with me and some mini reviews:
Free People Allure Pullover– on sale!
This sweater comes in a bunch of colors and is part of Nordstrom’s 40% off sale. When I saw it on the hanger, I wasn’t real sure about it…and I was right. I already have the same body shape as a mini fridge, so this sweater did not do me any favors! It also ran quite big- in this photo I’m wearing a size smaller than I usually wear. My search for the perfect cream sweaters continues.
The night I tried this sweater on, I didn’t think any thing of it. But now I can’t stop thinking about it! It also comes in cream and really pretty blue color. It is HUGE though, so I recommend sizing down at least one size unless you want it to have a really baggy fit.
Free People All Mine Sweater – on sale!
This sweater is super soft and perfectly oversized. I’m wearing a size small here. I would have bought it if it had been available in a medium. It comes in multiple colors, but the red is my favorite.
I apparently have a thing for oversized tops right now. I loved this top! It was thin and breezy and I’m pretty sure I would live in it all summer long. It’s obviously very sheer, so I would wear it with my favorite layering tank underneath. think it would be so cute with distressed denim shorts and tan sandals or wedges. This one also ran HUGE. I’m wearing a 3 here, which I think is Current/Elliot’s version of a large, but I could’ve easily fit into a 2, maybe even the 1. Vanity sizing is no joke!
How cute is this striped peplum top? As soon as I saw it from across the store, I knew I had to have it. The fabric is on the thick side, so it gives the top just the right amount of structure, but it was still quite comfortable. The peplum is the perfect size. You know how some peplum tops are just so…aggressive? This one is more like a subtle ruffle hem than a full-blown peplum top. It also ran a tiny bit big, so you might want to consider sizing down in this one too.
Also, for my Cleveland-area readers, the Beachwood Nordstrom is hosting a Spring Beauty Trend event on March 11. There will be beauty experts to answer your questions, makeovers, free samples, cocktails, snacks, and gifts with your purchase. They’ll teach you all about the spring beauty trends that we just saw on the runways at New York Fashion Week. I got a chance to preview the Beauty Trend Week event and, let me tell you, it is going to be a great event.
Happy Monday!…or not so happy if you’re having severe Fashion Week FOMO (fear of missing out) like me. As I write this, I’m sitting in bed watching Rock of Love with Bret Michaels on Hulu (go ahead and judge me) and sulking because I couldn’t make the trip to New York for Fashion Week. First world problems, I know.
Lucky for me, technology is amazing and so many brands stream their shows live online. It’s actually great, because it’s like getting a front row seat without having to change out of your pajamas.
Every time NYFW rolls around, it always motivates me to rethink my wardrobe. Seeing the runway collections and and all the streetstyle photos of beautiful, stylish people usually helps me recommit to the idea of buying quality over quantity…which is pretty much just a nice way of saying NYFW makes me want to have a closet full of amazing designer pieces. Ha! While designer pieces can be expensive, I generally subscribe to the idea that you get what you pay for, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a few tricks up my sleeve. I like expensive things, but I also love a bargain!
So here it is. My secret for finding designer goods at great prices is The Real Real. They’re an online luxury consignment retailer that guarantees the authenticity of all the items on the site. They have a whole team of authentication experts, so you never have to think twice about the authenticity of an item. The prices are fair and their sales are amazing. Y’all, sometimes they have flash sales for an extra 60% off their already great prices- we’re talking Missoni scarves for $40, Chloe boots for under $100, and Gucci wallets for $70. They’re also a great place to shop for hard-to-find items like Hermes bracelets and bags and Chanel flats.
Now that my secret is out, I guess I might as well share some of “My Obsessions” (The Real Real terminology for the items you favorite), but only some…a girl can’t give away all her secrets! 😉

*This is not a sponsored post. I really love The Real Real and browse their site pretty much every day. I’ve purchased lots of things from them, and I also consign with them somewhat frequently. I highly recommend them!
Valentine’s Day Candy Box c/o Candy Club
It’s no secret that I love subscription boxes, and one of my favorites, Candy Club, makes the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. They have a big selection of high-quality candies- chocolate, gummy, sour, etc.- and you can choose the ones you receive in each box. You can also send a gift subscription so your valentine can pick his/her own treats! Right now you can get $20 off your first box or you can get 3 free candies when you purchase a regular box (no codes necessary, just click the links). I just got a box full of the cutest Valentine’s Day themed candies, and I can’t wait to try them once I finish my Whole 30 (longest month of my life haha).
If you prefer to gift something that will last a little longer than the time it takes to devour a bunch of delicious candy, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite rose-hued things. The Dior Lip Glow is one of my favorite lip products. It’s a balm that reacts with your lips to enhance their natural color. I have the Nikes in gray, and they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. The marble watch and the Nars palette are in my online shopping cart tempting me to buy them (wink wink, Cory!), and how cute would this dress be for spring and summer weddings? I love it!
This week, the things I’m wishing for are all about updated classics- a modern black bag, lipstick in the perfect your-lips-but-better shade, a LBD with fun bell sleeves and some rose gold accents. This dress would be perfect for the upcoming bridal shower and wedding season. It’s been in my Nordstrom shopping cart for a few days now, and I keep checking every day to see if it’s been marked down. I can’t stop thinking about it though, so I think that’s a sure sign I just need to buy it!
